A chiller-equipped tub is the difference between a plunge you use and a plunge you mean to use. No ice runs, no setup, no twenty minutes of preparation standing between you and a three-minute immersion. It is also where the money goes: every unit on this page costs at least $2,990.

We have laid out the published specifications below without ranking them, because the right unit depends almost entirely on volume, posture and how hard you intend to work it. Where a manufacturer does not publish a figure, we have left it blank rather than fill it in.

Prices and specifications were read from each manufacturer’s own product page on the date shown in each entry. Blank fields mean the manufacturer does not publish that figure — we do not estimate.

The value outlier: Inergize Elite Tub, $2,990

At $2,990 against a stated $3,990 regular price, this is the cheapest verified tub with an integrated chiller in our catalog by roughly $600. It runs 37°F to 104°F on 0.8 HP with four-stage filtration — ozone at 400 mg/hr, strainer, 20-micron filter and air filter — flowing 348 GPH.

The compromises are footprint and disclosure. The full installation with the chiller measures 89 by 41.5 inches, and the interior is 45 inches long, so this is a seated tub. Inergize does not publish a water capacity, which we have left blank.

The horsepower-per-dollar leader: Redwood All-In-One, $6,999

The Alaskan All-In-One Kit pairs Canadian Thermowood over a moulded acrylic liner with a 1.5 HP Balboa Clim8zone Deluxe dual chiller/heater, 37°F to 104°F, 104 gallons, and built-in UV sanitation. It is the only unit in our catalog with a named third-party chiller rather than an unbranded OEM unit — Balboa is a known spa-equipment manufacturer, and being able to identify the component is worth something for parts and service over a decade.

Redwood also states plainly that the UV system does not remove the need for routine water testing, chemical balancing and filter cleaning. That is a more honest line than the category usually offers.

The Plunge ladder

Plunge's four chiller-equipped tubs form a clean progression: the Pop-Up at $3,590 (upright, ~95 gallons, 1/2 HP, 39°F), the Air at $4,390 (lie-down, 105 gallons, 1/2 HP, 39°F), the Evolve XL at $5,590 (hard-shell, 105 gallons, 37°F) and the All-In Gen 2 at $7,990 (hard-shell, 105 gallons, 0.75 HP, 37°F). All four were listed at discounts from stated regular prices when we checked.

Two details matter across the range. The inflatables reach 39°F while the hard-shells reach 37°F, so the format genuinely affects the floor. And the 104°F heat mode is a $400 option on the Pop-Up and Air rather than standard equipment — a distinction easy to miss when comparing temperature ranges across brands.

Plunge publishes rate-of-change figures for the Evolve XL (8–10°F per hour cooling, 4–5°F per hour heating) but not chiller horsepower, while publishing horsepower but not rate for the All-In Gen 2. You cannot directly compare the two on either axis, which is frustrating on a single brand's own lineup.

The stainless tier

The Sun Home Cold Plunge Pro at $13,999 is 316-grade stainless with foam-injected insulation and a LineX coating, 150 gallons, 1 HP, and a three-step automatic sanitation loop — ozone, a UV chamber and a 20-micron filter — cycling the full tank every ten minutes. That is the fastest published turnover in our catalog, marginally ahead of Plunge's fifteen minutes on the All-In Gen 2.

Read the interior dimensions before you read the price: 47.4 inches long inside a 78-inch exterior. Despite the footprint, this is a seated tub. The Cold Plunge Pro Apex at $14,999 goes to 180 gallons, but Sun Home publishes no dimensions, chiller horsepower or warranty on its page, which is a meaningful gap at that price.

What the warranties tell you

  • Plunge Air — 90 days on the tub, 1 year on the chiller. The shortest shell coverage in this catalog.
  • Plunge Pop-Up, Evolve XL, All-In Gen 2, Inergize, Sun Home, Redwood — 1 year, with paid extensions offered by Inergize ($299 for three years, $400 for five) and Sun Home.
  • Polar Monkeys Brainpod 2.0 — 2 years base, double the category norm, with extensions at $899 and $1,199.
  • Renu Therapy Cold Stoic 3.0 — 5 years on the body, 1 year on the chiller. The longest shell coverage above $10,000.
  • BlueCube C1 — 3 years residential, 10 years on tub and frame. Built for commercial duty.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest cold plunge with a chiller included?
The Inergize Elite Tub at $2,990 in our verified catalog. Below roughly $3,000 every option we could verify is ice-cooled.
Do chiller tubs also heat?
Many do, but check whether it is standard. Inergize (37–104°F), Redwood's All-In-One (37–104°F), Renu Therapy (37–104°F) and Sun Home's Horizontal (32–107°F) include it. On the Plunge Pop-Up and Air the 104°F heat mode is a $400 option.
Does a colder minimum temperature mean a better chiller?
No. The $16,500 BlueCube C1 publishes 41°F, the warmest minimum of any chiller unit here, while running a 13,600 BTU commercial motor. Sustained performance under heavy use and low-water-temperature capability are different engineering targets.
